Stargate SG1 or Atlantis?

I'm a fan of both. what else do you think, SG1 plans to continue with a season 9, but the current epsiode shows it might be coming to a close. yay or nay for a season 9?

Love SG1, but I dont have cable, so I get them a season late. Never seen atlantis, also because of my lack of cable.

Both are cool in different ways.

If I had to pick a favourite it would be Atlantis...only because I lost track of SG-1 for a while and am having to catch up via re-runs.

I only liked the original movie, the series pretty much sucked.  :P

SG1, I've not really been able to get on with Atlantis so far. I will keep watching. Hope SG1 gets another season. I though the season 8 final was superb.

You did? I thought it could have been done better. I thought it was rushed. But the ending does leave the series an option to continue but also an option to be the end. Without trying to spoil it for anyone.
I dont like Atlantis, i dont see it lasting for more than 2 or 3 series before being wrapped up.

Forget the plot, that was a tad thin. What I did like about it, and what I like about SG1 as a whole, is that it was done with humor and tongue firmly in cheek. The show is never afraid to poke fun at itself.

i swear those freakin' replicators are getting on my nerves... SG-1 and the "Ass-guards" as i call them better get their collective shiznit together and get their special anti-replicator ray gun thing up and running. Those little metal bugs have infested half the known universe like a bunch of roaches!!!!

another episode i hate is the 3 or 4 i have seen where the stargate project has to defend its efforts agains that back stabbing, snoody, two faced, cheating at cards all the time congressman guy. (i forget his name but he was one of the bad guys in the robo-cop movie im almost 99% sure of it) what a weenie that guy is. I hope promethius "accidnetally" crash lands on his face!

speaking of the "ass-guards"... do these guys ever blink their eyes at the same time?! it always seems like one eye is blinking abour 1/2 a second later than the other.

SG-1 is one of my all time favorite shows and its one of the main reasons i got sattelite tv! i record every new show and re-run i dont think i have seen every time one is scheduled to come on. My wife keeps up with atlantis... she does a fair job of weeding out the ones she knows i wouldnt want to see.

I am better off watching the Stargate Episodes on DVD. I have seasons 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. I'm saving up more money to get seasons, 3, 4, and [if I can find it] 8.

I like the last episode of season 7. Where O'Neill [with two L's] has once again downloaded the entire Ancient repository to his head and starts doing wierd things to save Earth from Anubis.
