anyone play the most fantabously (oOo fanta) cool game, Warhammer 40K?

I know a few guys who are playing W40k, but I've never been interested in those table-top games myself.
The only Warhammer-related game I've played was Warhammer: Dawn Of War.

Don't even get me started here. I've worked for GW for the last 18 years and have seen far more Space Marines than any one person should ever have to look at.  ;)

Sorry but i only liked the original. I lost interest when they brought out all these new games.

I miss GW. we had one here in chicago for 2 years, but it closed 4 months ago, with no plan to build any new ones. i'm stuck with gamers paradise.

I was planning on the starter kit, not for $275 though.

As a serious Napoleonic Wargamer I loath Warhammer 40K with a vengence.  Too expensive, too pretty, too simplistic.  I own the origional Warhammer 3 book set and that was good.  I also used to play a pretty mean game of Blood Bowl (Dark Elves rule).
