Guilty or just weird?

Postby Scottler » Thu Feb 24, 2005 7:35 am

I'll admit, just yesterday I was ready to convict this guy.  But the more I hear, the more I think he's just a strange, strange man.

Look at the people who have come out and accused him.  None of them are credible.  The first accuser jumped awfully quickly at a settlement, and now the history of this one is coming out, and it isn't looking good.  He apparently accused both of his parents when he was 7 of sexual abuse.  His mother told everyone he was sick when he was little, and set out on a fund raiser.  She raised a substantial amount of money...but he wasn't sick.

Say what you want about the acting careers of Emmanuel Lewis, Corey Feldman, McCauley Culkin, etc...but they are all relatively credible.  And every one of them has said he never touched them.

What do you think?
Great edit, Bob.

Michael Jackson has the mind of a child. He has been protected from the real world all his life, his money has allowed him to stay a child all his life. I dont think he's all there at all. Sadly these people who have protected are actually harming him now, and these people accusing him are just after a quick payout. There is no way this trial can be fair and i dont see it lasting all that long.

While all the evidence against him may be circumstantial (I don't take eyewitness account very seriously in a case like this), there is a crap load of it.  Unfortunately for him, he has been hung before the trial even began.  But some of the stuff he has in his house is REALLY off, I mean like really really...

Like what?  Monkeys?  A ferris wheel?  Skin mags?  Sure, it's strange, but it doesn't necessarily make him a child molestor.

Like I said though...a week ago I was ready to stick the needle in his arm.  Now, I'm not so sure.

I agree there Craig. I have no idea whether he's guilty or not but with the amount of publicity surrounding this case there can be very few people who could be completely unbiased. I think he is entitled to a fair trial & regarded as innocent until proven guilty. Even the most despicable criminal is entitled to that. That's how the law always worked & until recently the media were forbidden to discuss a case until it was over. They would not even be allowed to publish photos of the accused or the alleged victims. This should never be broadcast to the whole world on live TV as some kind of peep-show. The whole thing is a farce. IMHO

They want his money, nothing else.
why else would they hire the same lawyer that managed to get a lot of dollars compensation the last time he was accused for a case much like the current one

They have been after Michael Jackson for years ...... and not without any grounds.
I feel that there has been enough mud thrown around and some has, at last, stuck. Yes the guy is weird, immature and rich but that does not mean that he is above the law. I believe that it wouldn't have got this far without some real evidence. Personally I couldn't give a damn about the whole thing .... but there are people out there who idolise him and it's about time they saw the true man. If he isn't guilty then he's just weird. If he is guilty then he's an extremely dangerous role model and should be treated as such.

My opinion is he is likely to be guilty, just from what I have heard of his past history. Hasn't he had private out-of-court settlements in the past over the same issue? ::)
I cannot accept that just because he is liked by millions - me excluded - (I think he is one of the sickest pop stars going sick :-/ ) that he is innocent.
But at the same time he is one of the weirdest guys ever. I can't think of a single person that goes to his extreme.

You have to remember. Most of these famous people dont give payouts because they are guilty, but because carrying on a court case drags out alsorts of secrets and can ruin a persons reputation even if they are found not guilty.
Like i said and will reiterate, This case cant be fair.

He is pathetic with a capital "P", but he is innocent until proven guilty. A little too  innocent, in a twisted sort of way... it's sad; he used to be one of the coolest dudes in pop, even as a pre-pubescent. What incredible talent! A born star, which isn't always a healthy thing. Of course, if he's guilty, none of that excuses him.
Whatever he's done, there seem to be parents out there exploiting their kids in a way that IMHO warrants drawing and quartering at the very least- soliciting your own offspring to perverts is just unspeakable, and using them as pawns in a scam (assuming he's innocent) isn't much better.  >:(

He's a man with many issues. I think it's all very sad and the world attention on the case isn't helping. He's a very vain man and I think he'll milk all the attention he can get. I hope they just get it over quickly...

I think Craig sums it up above perfectly...
