If that bird was pirched close to me, I would have taken out a rifle and pop a few rounds on it. ;D

We've done it again haven't we. We start a discussion about the internet, and we end up talking about food! ;).

Been a lot of talk about food around here lately... ;D

Well, food is very important. It's one of my priorities as I imagine it is for everyone. I can do without the Internet or a mobile phone but I have yet to discover a way of going without food for more than a few days before kicking the bucket. ::) ;)

PS. If someone can tell me how to do that it will save me a lot of money. :)

Develop anorexia Doug ;) That is how to go more than a few days without food! And if its good enough for members of the Royal Family then its good enough for us subjects ;)

Thanks Ozzy but no thanks. I have to stand in the same place twice to make a shadow now & the last thing I need is to lose more weight. I think anorexia inevitably ends in an early death & I like it here too much for that. ;)

To be serious for a moment. I don't think anyone could accuse me or Paul of not keeping up with the latest technology. I was messing around making multi-track recordings way back in the 1950s when I was the only person I knew who had a tape recorder. I've had to be aware of the latest developments in almost everything you can imagine (& some you can't) for most of my working life. Now I'm retired I can do without it thanks very much.

The internet is fine for anyone confined to their home for whatever reason & is a useful reference source for almost anything you can think of. I think saying it's one of life's priorities is misguided. I know a great many people who live happily without it & they're not all old fogies like me. All the time they're fit there are plenty of more rewarding things they could be doing rather than sitting alone in front of this infernal monitor as I'm doing right now. It might be different in the US but if public transport was more efficient in this country I would happily sell my car tomorrow. When I retired I got out of the rat race & quite frankly I can do without all the hassle. This was the main reason I retired in the first place. I was worn out and metally drained & accepted the chance with both hands. It doesn't make me some sort of dinosaur living in the past. When I'm confined to my home & providing I still have a few marbles left, that would be the time for all this. I'm not exactly an idiot & would feel quite confident with any new technology you like to throw at me. I did it before & I'm quite certain I could do it again if the need arises. I've always been capable of most things if I'm interested in them. ;)
