Explosion in Iran

Postby Craig. » Wed Feb 16, 2005 9:13 am

There reports of an explosion near a nuclear facility in Iran. Some reports are suggesting a fuel tank has fallen from a plane that caused the blast. No other info right now. Other reports stating aircraft fired a missile. this is near the city of dailam

i doubt its anything more than an accident. Problem is with a country like Iran chances of getting news is unlikely, chances of getting accurate truth in the news is almost impossible.

That's not only true in Iran...it's also true in the US.

Oh crap, now I've gone and gotten this locked.  lol

I find the BBC is still pretty reliable. They don't report things unless they're reasonably sure of their facts.

I doubt it was the US. It was probably either an accident or Israel

It was just announced on BBC radio news that an explosion was heard near the town of Daylam on the Gulf coast.

It's very unlikely the Coalition would strike Iran without beating the media war-drum first, at least here in the States.  Was it a covert op. made to look like an accident? Who knows...

Check out my previous link for the latest news. The situation is obviously tense out there due to the current political situation. When things get tense people start getting nervous & jumping to conclusions. I suspect that's what happened in this case. Don't panic Mr. Mainwaring........! Not yet anyhow. ;)

What ever caused it. You can always be sure that something, somewhere went wrong.
