That was a pretty good game-much closer than I expected.  But, it was very sloppy-I felt like neither team really player to their potential.  I am happy that New England won since they are in my top 3 favorite teams (right behind the Panthers and 'da Bears) and I have never liked the Eagles.  I'm also glad that Tom Brady didn't get the MVP.  I didn't want him to get his 3rd MVP because that would tie Montana's record and he would be forever compared to him-and he's not Joe Montana.  Plus, I didn't think he deserved it.  I felt that Deion Branch deserved it (I voted for him online in the 3rd quarter).  

But, overall it was a close and intertaining game.

I very much agree with you Richie, neither team played to their potential-there were at least five times when if the Eagles didn't miss an opportunity, they could have tied/won the game.

In the end, I believe the Eagles beat themselves more than the Pats did, but at least we have the satisfaction of beating the spread and giving the Pats not only the hardest time of the postseason, but possibly the entire season (Steelers sorta count, but they got beaten badly later; Miami was just a weird-ass anomolly)

Beef, The Pats were making that game as easy for the Eagles as they possibly could. I cant believe i am going to say this, but the Eagles can thank their lucky stars TO was able to play. Mitchell ran his mouth on the Pats D and he was taken to school, what was it he got? 1 reception, 2? Although i wont argue the Eagles did everthing they possibly could to loose that game, Mcnabb certainly wasnt entirely there, and their running game was nowhere to be seen. I think New England played very conservetavly, and had they not done so it could have been a real killing.

The Rugby on saturday was far better. I mean, do you want to watch MEN play contact sports or not?

Sorry woody, but there is little excitement in rugby for me. You cant even compair the two, the guys in rugby are tiny compaired to your average football player so as for contact when your being hit headon by a 300lb lineman its kind of contact compaired to a 200lb rugby player As for the game itself, football is extremely indepth as far as tactics are concerned and how plays are run, i find it much more entertaining than the mess of a rugby game. But hey thats just me.

Take an american football team, strip them of their armour and put them up against a mainline Rugby team. The yanks would be flattened.

I watched some of the Super Bowl last night and it was silly. There seemed to be too many ways to get a foul or a penalty so play never got underway and the score thing at the top of the screen was just irritating.

I doubt they would. average weight in the NFL is about 245lbs, and these guys well most are all muscle. Its completely pointless getting into the rugby football debate it could go on for years:) but my comment is, when you show me a rugby player who can do a 40 yard dash in 4.2 or less then we'll discuss it some more Seriously though i still rate the game of football much higher, but again its a personal preferance thing, its a game that once you really understand it, it becomes alot better.
As for the penalties, well i wont argue there, but i think you'll find thats the same for most of our NFL fans here. Its ridiculous what they call now, but we can all thank the Colts for that one, sorry Bman
