I'm still scared of the same thing, my mum! She makes Attila the Hun look like a Red Cross worker!

Hi Mark.... ;D...!

Similar thing, but my Mum was really lovely...
She had the habbit of just "LOOKING" at us if we were naughty, and that cured our naughtiness, instantly.. :o...!
All my children remember their Nan's "LOOK" with fondness... ;D...!

My dear old Mum was the best thing before, or after, sliced bread... ;D...!
LOL...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

My earliest bugaboo was being left alone in the dark. There were horrible things waiting to eat me; I was sure of it!! Then, when it occurred to me that I was going to die someday whether I liked it or not, that led to a long period of existential anxiety- I'd nearly have a panic attack every time I thought about it. Especially in the dark... Puberty somehow put an end to all that, and now I'm really only scared of screwing up, with my creditors running a close second. Thinking of it, the last time I ever felt a twinge of real fear (not panic, but a tangible chill) was after taking off for a little pattern work after not flying for months. I had one of those "what the hell am I doing?" moments, but it faded by the end of that first circuit, and I was fine. Panic can be disastrous in an airplane, but a good jolt of fear is very good for your health- don't want to get complacent in that situation!

When I was real young my biggest fear was to be locked in a store after closing.  I remember that as it got late I couldn't wait to get home.  Now if I got locked in a store I would have a romp!

What fears me now, to frank, its death.  Not so much how it happens but the permanenacy of the thing.

Ive always been afraid of going to prison. It didnt help when my HS senior class took a trip to a maximum security prison to have the inmates yell at us and "scare us straight". it worked for me, before they even started yelling I was ready to leave. Also, the idea of flying at night scares the S-word out of me, but I guess Ill have to get over that.

As a child- my Dads father, he was evil incarnate and the most hateful and uncaring human being I've ever known. He would put the fear of God into anyone.

As an adult- Being left alive after some natural disaster (like an asteroid impact) and finding that everyone I ever loved and cared for was gone and being left here alone in a God forsaken world.

As a youth, the single most frightening thing was the dark.
Scared the living daylights out of me, but know I love that black emptiness to tears.

As for current scares, there's nothing really.
It's not so much a fear of anything, but more of a worry.
