Oh you just posted Doug... while I was writing.
I haven't really anything to add and I won't keep spoiling people's fantasies here that they think some green-multi-eyed creatures are wanting to get in contact with them... ;) I have different opinions to others here, but thought I'd drop a few thoughts. :)

Don't mind me Ben. I no longer have any strong feelings one way or the other on this subject. Never be afraid of saying what you think. It would be a very boring world if we all thought alike. ;)

I realised long ago that I'm not likely to find the answers to this & many other mysteries during my lifetime so I stopped worrying about them. I don't expect you to believe in little green men from Mars or anywhere else. I personally think that this is pure fantasy. I just ask you to keep an open mind on the broader scale of things. Almost anything you can imagine is possible & the universe is so vast that some things are beyond our wildest imagination. :)

Ben i am happy to accept your thoughts just like Dougs, but in my opinion your happy to accept that the end of the universe is the edge of our solar system, and to me thats not even justifyable. I have always loved science and the study of the universe. Its not about getting in contact with another lifeform, its about just discovering them. I have said it before, the human race compaired to the universe is very young, chances are any lifeforms be they intelligent or just a plant on a distant planet, have evolved over a time many millions of years longer than ours. Look at the speed the human race has evolved, we have gone from sitting in the dark and using the street as a toilet to space travel and advanced flight in less than 300 years. Imagine where we could be in 2000 years.

.....But I really do think we should finish finding out about life on earth before looking for it else where.

Quite right, Woody.

Only quite recently a primitive, microbial form of pond life has been discovered in an obscure location referred to as "Simviation".... :o...!

Something new pops up here on Earth every day....don't need to go into outer space... ;)...!

LOL...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

Right-ho Spitty. You can make a start by convincing me. I'm all ears. ;)

Well Hagar, ummm   i wrote a speech about it last year, and i ahve thought about it, exploring space helps us find out more about ourselves and what posssilbe living conditions there are out there. Figuring out how we came to have life sustain on our planet is essential if our specias is to survive another couple of centruy's.

As it was said on the Matrix "we are a virus, we suck things of all its resources and move on to a new area" thats why its important. And i can go on fopr hoursw but i dont want to bore you with my thoeries unless hagar shares his hahaha. Just kidding

Hahahaha, moving on with this conversation.
I think we're looking for the wrong look aliens.  I suspect that as was brought up before rods and other such things may exist...
We should stop searching for human like figures and instead move onto something that u'd maybe find on the show futurama or the movie men in balck???

what do you think

cheers
