hi all. i recently registered at ebay and have sold a couple of items, but what really amazes me is the amount of people that pay for stuff and never get the item! the help forum is full of people in this situation and there seems to be nothing ebay or paypal want to do about it....some people must be makin a fortune out of the mis-fortune of others.... >:(

Its the fact Ebay charge a percentage of the listed item, and still do little to help when things go wrong that causes me to avoid using them.

Don't put any more faith in ebay than you would a regular store...I've bought and sold a LOT on ebay, and I've never had a problem.  In fact, I just finished a transaction on Friday...problem free yet again.

Read people's feedback.  That will help eliminate a lot of your problems.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Umm... I saved $50 bucks on a maintenance manual for an airplane....

I needed the book for class, realized it was gonna cost me 54.99 new from the cessna manufacturer, so I headed over to Ebay and found one, bid on it, and actually paid 12.99...:-)

Mark & I have a "joint" venture going through the servers of EBAY and I will say, with over 24 purchases, not one has been bad!

I just recently purchased a brand new, in the box SONY VEGAS VIDEO editing software. It goes for $600 and I only paid $365!!

Gotta love it!!

Bought a fender for my friend's car, a 1984 Porsche 944, paid $70 for it, INCLUDING S&H, while the dealer wanted to sell me one for $500  :o  had no problem with the seller, and item arrived very fast.

Just read the feedback people leave for the seller.
