Harry Potter 6 to be Released 16th July

Postby Eskimo » Tue Dec 21, 2004 5:53 pm

In Oz at least.  Yes J.K. Rowling as finished the 6th Harry Potter book and it will be released on the 16th of July 2005.  However, for all you Americans and Brits it will probably be realeased earlier.  (Not sure what date yet).

Lets hope it's as good as the last one, and not much longer.

The book will be published in Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa on the same day.

I'm guessing we'll have to wait as long as you. ;)

Speaking of Potter...

Anyone here read Stephen King's dark tower series (there's a reference to Harry Potter in his 5th and 7th book)

It is a good series...especially if you like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Forget about the Stephen King you think you know...

I've just finished reading the last book, and I think it's the best series of books I've ever read.  I would suggest to anyone who hasn't read them to do so immediately. ;)

The international release date for the States, UK, and Oz is the 16th of July.
Translated versions are expected in Nov/Dec.
Oh and be nice, JKR has just given birth to a girl, and having become a father my self not so long ago I feel sympathy for any new parent!

She's not a new parent. The whole reason she went into writing the books in the first place was because she wanted some extra money because she was a single parent.
