Best aviation comedy (only aviation comedy?): "Airplane". And stop calling me Shirley...
It's a tough call, because there are so many films I think are weak overall (sorry,' Top Gun' fans!), but have awesome aerial footage, or beautiful aircraft featured (I'm with you, 'Top Gun' fans!) I'm not a "favorites list" kinda guy, either, but I feel "The Great Waldo Pepper" deserves mention here. It's a must-see for aviation buffs, and a fine film in its own right. And speaking of TV ;), I forget the name, but what was that BBC miniseries about the RAF in WWII? That was fantastic all around: good writing, etc., beautiful aircraft, and spectacular flight footage.
