I just remembered a Muslim proverb: Praise Allah, for in his infinite wisdom he put death at the end of life instead of at the beggining.
I think I read that it Eaters of the Dead by Micheal Crichton. The main charactor in that book is a Muslim.

I've been absent from the forum so I'm a little late.

I'm relatively young and on my last months of being a teen, so I may not have the greatest opinion.

The most meaning I find in death...is that it

Ever wonder how people can believe is something they cannot see, feel or touch? Something that there is no scientific proof exist and much of scientific principals interject the fact that it's impossible?

Well ask a child about Santa Claus or the tooth fairy, the monster under their bed, etc. They've never seen them, but they are real to them through "belief" and youthful innocents.

Such things are commonly called "intangibles". This concept can be applied to many aspects of life. Such as, Will tomorrow come? You can't see it, you can't touch it, but you have belief that it will come. Many people in Indonesia felt confident in their tomorrows and will never see another. Many other's through out the world will go to sleep tonight believing there will be a tomorrow and never awake to greet the new day.

People can believe in "tangibles" because they can feel them, touch them and see them. Such as the "Titanic" a marvel of technology, unsinkable and it sits at the bottom of the Atlantic because of an "intangible" that became a tangible, an unforeseen iceberg and the faulty science of metal making.

I think Romulus is kind of onto Einstein

Ah, yes, I should have surmised that. What you being ex-military and all. We do get better training in disguises (i.e. camouflage). That and we all know where to shop for the best gag gifts..... ;D

Interesting...we went from a near-flame-war to an interesting discussion...

Given the recent posts I highly recommend the movie I mentioned before What the $%@# Do We Know?!...it address these very things!

It is all part of Quantum Physics.....every possibility has a possibility and nothing is impossible, even time travel. Einstein was more or less the father of modern physics (i.e.) Quantum Physics.

;D

Interesting...though if we were to have the capability of time travel, wouldn't we be seeing people from the future come back to see what the nineties were like? Or what the fashion fads were in 2004?

;D ;D ;D

The fear of death is rather unwarrented, if there is a god and an afterlife. However if there is no god to find out wat it was like before you were born, do you remeber... ::) and thats what death with no god is like
