I might have a few but these would be taken with my ordinary camera & will need scanning. I'll look them out when I have a few moments. They won't be anything like the quality of my latest shots. FoF had only just opened when I visited & I believe it's a lot different now. Things change so quickly in the US compared with what we're used to.

Thanks if you don't mind it would be nice to whet my appetite
Mind you, the exchange rate is pretty good at the moment. Almost 2 dollars to the pound.

We want to get Christmas over then start getting some travellers cheques at this rate if it holds out that long
Regards Chris

Hi Doug its back down last time i checked into the
$1.80's or was in Mississippi.

That's quite possible. I haven't had any reason to check it.

Wernt they looking at relaunching the shuttle program early next year?

yes, I believe so. I'm not sure the launches will be so frequent as before the accident. Maybe Chris will be lucky. I missed my only chance of seeing one when they cancelled it at the last minute. Never mind, you can't expect to do everything.

That's true but I doubt I shall visit the US again. I never got to half the places I wanted to visit but I've probably seen a lot more of the country than many US residents who've lived there all their lives. ;)

I just remembered that Felix was threatening to visit Fantasy of Flight soon. Maybe he went this weekend. He could probably get much better photos than my old ones.

HAven't been able to get to FofF :(  - too much in the way of honey-dos....

Staying in Kissimmee is quite convenient to all the major attractions, of course.

If coming into the Central Florida area, you might want to consider one of the operators into Sanford-Orlando airport (SFB).  Most flights into SFB, I believe, are actually charters from/to the UK (probably, since you do have signs warning arriving passengers to "LOOK LEFT" before crossing to the parking garage.

I'm not too sure that Tom Reilly's museum in Kissimmee is up and running after the hurricanes of '04...

Gasoline in the tourist areas can be up to 20-25 cents higher than in my immediate non-tourist area.  Around my place, it's US$1.89-1.92 /gallon of regular unleaded.  I've seen it around $2.30 in "tourist" areas (i.e. heavily travelled intersections)

If you get a chance, visit the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.  I haven't seen it myself but I've seen alot of great pictures taken there.
