Stress management - Spanish style

Postby ozzy72 » Tue Nov 23, 2004 4:53 am

This sounds like fun to me...

Stressed-out Spaniards are being offered the opportunity to smash their way back to inner peace with the aid of a sledgehammer and a scrapyard full of abandoned cars.
They are calling it "destruction therapy", an innovative way to rid yourself of the tension caused by an overdemanding boss or complaining clients.
The destructoterapia sessions take place at a yard near the town of Lubia, 100 miles north-east of Madrid.
"The targets are the gurus of modern stress - the car, the computer and the phone," explained Jorge Arribas, co-inventor of the courses. "I've seen an information technology guy leave a computer in tiny pieces."

Reminds me of an old episode of Tom Greene.  It's a traditional hidden camera show with a twist.  Picture the following: a crowded parking lot after a sporting event.  A guy (our hero) is pretending to be making a few bucks by letting passer-bys hit his car with a baseball bat for $1 a swing.  While the passer-bys are deeply involved in destruction our hero's accomplace runs up yelling "What are you doing to my car".  Our hero takes off running leaving the poor passer-by to explain why they were hitting the car with a baseball bat.  Man, what a gag...

lol      definatly sounds like a good end to a day.  Though taking a 20 gauge shotgun to one of my old computers that fried was rather relieving.  Picking up the pieces wasnt though :-[
