Any you think I'm mad!

Airline pilot Mike Howard walked a tightrope between two hot air balloons blindfolded at 4,000ft in the first stunt of its kind yesterday at Bristol.

Random there is a British guy that started doing bungee jumps from balloons and holds that world record, and also the record for the longest bungee jump.
I recall reading that as the bungee was stretching the balloon dropped 500 or so feet in a matter of seconds! The balloon pilot was understandably NOT impressed.
Perhaps this is what you're thinking of?

I seem to recall a tightrope walk between 2 balloons some years ago. Maybe it wasn't done blindfolded.

Is it just me or are a lot of Brits doing some crazy stunts lately. I wonder how many pints this guy had down at the pub before he tried this. Actually that's probably how it started.

"Hey Mikey! I bet.... I bet... I bet you fifty quid you can't... you can't tight rope walk between.... two balloons.

"Oh, bloody 'ell. I can sosss! Your on!"

I can easily do that - in Mexico City.  Anchor the two ballons firmly to the ground, lay a rope between them, and I'll walk blindfolded.  Thereby proving that I can safely walk blindfolded on a rope between two ballons at over 5,000ft ...  it all depends on how you write it up.
