Rats, what was it for, anyway? ::) And what's this room 101?

The Vulcan, erm... :-X

My vote for a modern airforce:

  • Fighter
    • MiG-MAPO
  • Attack
    • A-10 Thunderbolt II/Warthog (What's the difference between the two anyway?)
  • Bomber
    • B-1 Lancer
The Devil's Advocate.

Obviously, the A-10 looks NOTHING like a "JUG"; it's as ugly as a  WART and likes to wallow down low in the mud like a HOG!

It's like not calling a P-47 Thunderbolt a "Jug".

No helicopters? oh well.

   Fighter: F-22
Attack: A-10 (or a Comanche if it could be helicopters)
   Bomber: B-52 (or an armed 737 ;D)
I am the monkey, I can go anywhere.

Seeing how I'm not really a fan of the F/A-22 (I've got my reasons),
and Russian jets turn me on. I quite liked this picture.
:-*

Of course I'll have my name slandered for this.

Steve-O, what the heck are those Russian birds?  Judging by the forward-swept wings they look like they have the aerodynamic qualities of a brick.

BTW I can tell that F-22 wasn't in the original picture ;).

They're Su-47 (S-37) Berkut's.
As for the forward swept wing, well...

The swept-forward wing, compared to a swept-back wing of the same area, provides a number of advantages: higher lift to drag ratio; higher capacity in dogfight manoeuvres; higher range at subsonic speed; improved stall resistance and anti-spin characteristics; improved stability at high angles of attack; a lower minimum flight speed; and a shorter take-off and landing distance.
(Quote taken from Airforce Technology)

And for the pic, I could care less if the Raptor is edited in.
I really don't like that bird.
:P
