Postby Stormtropper » Sat Jun 12, 2004 9:46 pm

My dad heard this one on the radio on his way back from work yesterday, he have a very bad memory, so he couldn't remember the details.

Theres this reporter, from somewhere in the central united states, who was struck and killed by a car at a busy intersection..................................while demonstrating how dangerous a intersection is ::)

Cheers

That is too bad! But I guess he proved the point of the story :-[
Sadly there are many places like that here, you come to a stop sign and look both ways but can't see if anything is coming due to the fact that it is a hill on both sides.
Makes me wonder why the Road Dept, doesn't put the staop signs on the other direction or better yet make it a four way stop. I know the concequences personally, I had a stop sign which I stopped , looked both ways, clear and started to turn onto the road then BAMMM! the whole front end of my car was gone! A lady who was speeding over the hill nailed me (if I would have been a foot or so further into the lane I would have been killed)
Of course I got the ticket because the stop sign was in my direction of travel and no witnesses to say that I had stopped. But later that week I went and video taped that intersection to use in court and I caught on film a similar accident too mine!!! (no I wasn't in the road, standing on the shoulder) Needless to say my ticket was thrown out of court, the lady that hit me was fined for speeding and the intersection turned into a 4 way stop, since then no accidents reported there!
And just my luck the lady who hit me had no insurance, no drivers liscence, so i had to pay all the cost of the vehicle, medical etc bills >:(
I now carry uninsured motorist coverage!

sorry but i fail to see any humor in this. The guy was doing his job, and being a professional he wasnt willing to accept anything less than the perfect shot he wanted. I would hardly call it stupid though.

Craig, sometimes you've just gotta laugh at the ironic of life.
Great edit, Bob.
