FRONTIER AIRLINES INC.
Friendly service, great rates, and a fantastic livery!
Frontier is the way to go!

My opinion on southwest:
They are OK. If they flew into Denver, I would not like them at all.The new livery is OK. The old one... can you say barf and peanut butter!

True, Southwest's old scheme of brown/green dierreah (I have no idea how to spell that) was ugly, but the new scheme is cool.  I base my opinion on the service and price, though, not the color.  For international destinations, I'd fly Continental, but before they got their blue globey thingy for a logo, their scheme was ugly!.

I agree, Southwest's new blue/red scheme is awesome; simply gorgeous. I realy like the way they have all the special state schemes. I love Silver One, Lonestar One, New Mexico One, and Triple Crown One. The The old scheme though... :-/

Frontier is ok. I would like them better if they didn't have so many scarebuses. They have beautiful tails though.

What's wrong with airbuses :)

I love their cockpit and how they've designed the whole thing.

Other than the 319 & 318, 340-600, I dont like Airbusses. Boeing all the Way!!

jay- the reason Continental changed their livery is because people were calling their planes instead of The proud bird with the golden tail, they called it The proud bird with the brass ass!

What's wrong with airbuses :)

Why?
#1: French
#2: Main competition for my U.S. Boeing, Lockheed and Mcdonnel Douglas products.
#3: Airbus doesn't give as much attention to the human factors issues in aircraft as American manufacturers do.

1: Airbus arnt french  they are a joint european company.
2: Mcdonell Douglas are dead and Lockheed are gone from commercial aviation. And Boeing need competition from airbus without it, we'd be stuck on crap planes.
3: What do you even mean, i found the A320 comfortable it was a little noisier than i was used to, but it wasnt any less comfortable than any boeing.

While i am not a fan of Airbus myself i do realise they are very good for business, and i have actual personal reasons for my dislike.

Like Craig said, Lockheed vanished from the commercial business with the cancellation of the TriStar program in the mid 80's.
MD is no longer in the business either, and I don't want to specualte how the aviation industry would like like if only Boeing produced larger airliners

And yes Airbusses are more automatic and complex. But herein lies the advantages, the FBW on the newer airbusses prohibits maneuvers that would put the aircraft in stall or any other dangerous condition. Human errors are one of the most common factors in accidents. I'm a Boeing guy myself, but that doesn't stop me from disliking airbus. Their aircrafts are in many ways superior to the Boeings.

the FBW on airbus planes allow planes to do some crazy things, thus the A340 display at paris. but it can also be a little restrictive at times.

Crazy things maybe but it was never any danger, I can assure you  :)
To quote the A320 AOM (I assume it's the same on the A340) ?

"Computers interpret pilot input and move the flight control surfaces, as necessary, to follow their orders.
However, when in normal law, regardless of the pilot's input, the computers will prevent excessive maneuvers and exceedance of the safe envelope in pitch and roll axis.
However, as on a conventional aircraft, the rudder has no such protection"

#1: They are built in and largely designed by France. Therfore, zeha ze art Freanch! ;D

#2:
A: MD is legaly dead. The company lives on as part of Boeing. Their planes are still flying as well.
B: I was reffering to all of Locky's products not just the L-1011. Lockheed has said somewhere in the past that they would probably step back up to the plate of airliners if one of the major manufacturers went under.
C: You haven't studied them, and the differences between them and Boeings; you don't understand the full extent of the issues and oddities in airbusses.
D: Airbus puts more trust in a computer that Boeing does.
E: Yes we know you hate Boeing because it is so good. ;D

#3: I wan't reffering to, and I don't give a hoot about the passenger side of human factors, I was referring to the pilot side of the human factors problems in Airbusses.

Anyway, this has gone waaaayyyyy off topic, lets get back to the question at hand. :P

Ok without getting into any arguments.
Trust me i do understand the ins and outs of aircraft, hell my Grandad on my mums side was part of the lead team of the original airbus. He was a chief designer on concorde, many of the systems in use today were originally designed by him and his team of 4 workers.
Next i dont hate boeing i personally like them alot. The 777's systems actually rely on computers as much as if not more than airbus aircraft.
And one more time Airbus are a joint european company, they could be built on pluto for all it matters they would still be a joint european company. I dont want to go into an A vs B war here, like i said each company is needed, whether some people like it or not.
