Mike. A word in your shell-like lug'ole. This is getting a tad boring. I've defended you up till now but don't push it. I'm rapidly starting to agree with RollerBall. Maybe he was right all along. ::)

The thing is, freeware is aimed at offering us a fun experience, while payware a realistic one. I hate to break it to you guys, but do you really think flight simulator is so realistic that we can actually be certified to fly in th real world with it? No!!! Flight simulator is just a game !!  I hate to tell you this, but even if you had 1200 hours or something like that in a PMDG 737, you'd still have to go to flight school if you wanted to be a pilot.

Geez, there's nothin' i love more than debating ;D ;D ;D

This is an understatement if ever there was one. What you get up to is up to you. I thnk it should be perfectly clear by now that we don't want to know.

There's nothing I like more than a good debate. It strikes me that you're more mature & far more articulate than most 12 year-old boys I know. Either you're not what you're telling us or you're extremely intelligent & well educated for your age. Either way, you're capable of making useful contributions to this community rather than become an annoying nuisance. The decision is yours.

Never had anyone tell me i was mature for 12, and yes, i'm 12 :)

I think i'll go with the " making useful contributions to this community" option ;D I've been making an ass of myself lately and well, don't think it should go on.

I love both freeware and payware. I live alone, make good money, and have turned FS9 into a hobby of sorts, where I sit at one of my computer desks, and enter a virtual world away from the everyday stresses of my job. I have countless freeware addons, and an ever growing payware list. I can afford each one I buy, and find that I have yet to purchase one I was not happy with.

Some m ay go with the 'as real as it gets' like the 737. There are others as in my instance, I enjoy the general aviation aircraft, or business jets. My enjoyment of payware, being a visual artist, is the attention to even the minutest detail, giving an overall beautiful look. An immersion factor second to none. Sure some of them may not fly like the real thing, but I have no idea in such regards. I am not a pilot in life. Wish I was sometimes, but presently I am not.

I look at payware as I look at art supplies. Its not too uncommon for me to drop over $1000 in one sitting at my local art supply store so I can stock up. < $30.00 for a payware addition is small potatoes compared to $800 for a single art brush. Its an investment. Its something I enjoy, and if its my money, and I can afford it, well, that means I will buy it. I can think of far worse things I could buy that would be a waste.

I will lastly say this. If for some reason I cannot afford a payware addon for the flight sim that I want,  will never download it from the net for free. I will wait until I can afford it, or I will not have it.
My life is like the movie Office Space

First of all, "mike" does have a job, "he" gets up at 3 in the morning and delivers news papers in the neighborhood on his horse.

Tell me more about this job. You load up your horse with newspapers and deliver them? Very interesting Mike!
