Lets give our thanks

Postby Stormtropper » Sat May 29, 2004 3:11 pm

Its memorial weekend again, and its once again time to give our thanks to the veterans who sacrificed so much to make our lives better. So thanks guys!

And they just deticated the World War II memorial, in Washington D.C. in American, about 2 hours ago. This makes this memorial day weekend extra special for the WWII veterans. Whom defended us from the onslaught of Japan and Nazi Germany. And it is also special for those of whom fought the war on the home front, those who made guns, ammo, tanks, planes, and ships, those who make it possible for others to fight.

So to all our veterans THANKS!

Edit* June 6, 2004 is the 60th annivery of the D-Day invasion, and I was wondering, if anyone is intrested in recreating a mission from a squadron on that day?

I was in the USAF for 15 years so I guess I am a "vet" I helped in preping pallets to go on KC-135 that went to the Gulf War. So why do I tell you this? The kids in the forum never cease to amaze me. These two kids that posted before me are 14 and 15 years old. They both show pride and respect for the USA.
Even though it is a US holiday started just 40 miles north of me in Waterloo, NY ( http://www.historychannel.com/exhibits/ ... story.html )
This is a good time for all nations to reflect no matter if they lost or won a war. Those men and women died fighting for what they believed in.
So on that note, My hat is off and flag at half for all vets, living or deceased from all corners of the world.
