Seeking inspiration?

Some people retire and sit around waiting for Mr. Grim, not however our Hagar who goes taking loads of fab snaps for us (more Spits and Moths please Doug ;)), nor Fozzer screams around the Welsh border on a big bad Honda when he isn't cooking mouth-watering meals (more receipes please Paul), and this guy, well lets say some people truely inspire and don't understand the meaning of OAP ;), http://www.guardian.co.uk/uslatest/stor ... 02,00.html

A truely inspiring man ....... !!

Luckily for us the world is full ov them .... I used to work with a "Pensioners", and I use the word very loosely, group in Glasgow. The average age was 70+ish yet they would put on 10-15 shows a year in  locations such as shopping malls, OAPs homes, hospitals and festivals plus every 3 months they would put on a show for friends and family in their community hall. They would and still do rehearse their shows 2-3 nights a week and although not professionals they aspire to do the best they can to entertain...(and boy do they entertain).. with the shenanagins they get up to they put us "youngsters" to shame. They inspire the community around them and the other members of the group who aren't involved. The Group was renamed several years ago from "Red Road Elderly and Disabled Forum" to "The Red Road Young'uns!" a name which has stuck...I hope in later life I can be as lively and inspirational as these peeps .....

Long live them all.

cheers
