the thing with the transphasic torpedos was the borg finally adapted to them, it was too late of course. Side note the borg wernt destroyed their means of using the transwarp portal to get to the alpha quadrant was. So they are for the foreseeable future stuck in the Delta quadrant again. However if you play ST armada 2 it actually takes place after voyager has gotten home and the borg have been developing transwarp portals, picard takes the enterprise and the fleet to the delta quadrant to destroy the borg for good. Along the way Species 8472 get in the way and destroy their only way home to the alpha quadrant and then Picard and the borg team up to stop 8472 and find a new way home.

I guess you can't really compair Star Wars and Star Trek when it comes to technology because they are nearly on par. As I said earlier, get a way from the movies and look at some of the stuff that happens after RoJ. Technology wise, they do eventually surpass anything that ever existed in Star Trek as the story progresses. The Sun Crusher is a good example. A small missile that penetrates the core of a star and causes it to go nova.

I wouldn't say that a Sovereign (NCC-1701E "Enterprise" is a Sovereign class Starship) would wipe the floor with anything in the SW movies...

I would say that a Sovereign would wipe the floor with everything in the SW movies...all at once, Rebels and Empire both.

Yes, but every week (and in most films) the Enterprise (ANY Enterprise) gets into a scrap, Picard tries to talk his way out of a fight (he knows what will happen next), Ryker tries to talk his way into a fight (he is dumb), Worf tries to act hard, Troi tries to look stunning, Data looks bored. The enemy ship opens fire, Enterprise returns fire, Worf says "direct hit, no damage". The enemy fire again, Worf says "shields down, hull breach on decks ten through twelve, multiple casualties". Worf gets in a lucky shot that dissables the enemy weapons and Picard orders a maximum warp retreat to the nearest star base. ;) J/K
I love Trek really.

Bleedin' patchoulie!  Here I was thinking I was wandering into a discussion on a movie and low and behold, it turns into a "my guns are bigger than your guns" debate.

I say widdle on the lot of them and then bring in my Ultra-transmedial Interphasic Squash Shooter and see what happens . . .

Or maybe just the Heart of Gold? ;)
