Blackhawks are notoriously baaaaaaaaad....but I still like 'em.

The kicker was (and I apologize for finding humor during something like this) on the website of the local station, they're playing video of their "breaking news" inserts.  They put up a slide of a Blackhawk and the anchor said basically "this is what it looks like."

As if someone's going to find a helicopter in the woods somewhere and need to see a photo to compare it, just in case this isn't the same helicopter in the middle of the woods.

Jethro:  "What the....Look Bud, a helicopter!"

Bud:  "Should we call it in?"

Jethro: "I don't know.  It might not be the one they're looking for."

Bud:  "Dammit, I wish we had a picture to compare it to."

Jethro:  "Yeah.  Hey, you got any o' them Old Milwaukee's left in the Marlboro cooler?"

Better yet, let's hope they bring the chopper back also, but I'll have to admit, there's very little chance of that happening...

God help them, wherever they may be... :(

I've just read that the heli has been found in swampland by a truck driver. Three bodies have been recovered :(

Yeah, I heard about this, really sad. :'(

If a chopper is down in South Carolina and the crew remains MIA for more than 12 hours, then don't expect anyone to be alive. There is a starbucks around every corner, they are bound to get a telephone.

Oh yeah, someone out there might know this, if you are downed, can you blow up your chopper in order to create a fireball so you can be located?

Well, you have a trade-off.  Shelter, or take the risk someone will see.
