In memory of Pat Tilman

This post is dedicated to Pat Tilman, who died in Afghanistan late last week at the age of 27. Pat played for the Arizona Cardinals for a number of years, and turned down a multi-million dollar contract instead to join the US Army with his younger brother. Pat is a true hero, and will be missed.

Appropriate or inappropriate?  Cashing in is just plain tacky.

Pat Tillman (appreciate your sentments GearheadGNX but you you could have spelled hs name right) was a class act from the day he gave up his NFL career (probably earlier) to join the Army.

It should not have taken his death to bring him to our attention.

I remember seeing a story on television when he originally enlisted, and I thought to myself, "Now here's a guy who gets it."

God Bless him and his family, and know that this Marine appreciates his sacrifice.

I ment the link that I posted was approporiate.  It was to one where the person who made it made a call to the world for people to stop bidding on Tillman items.  The idea was the winner would donate money in his name to a charity.  I thought that was a nice idea.

Webb, im not angry, but does it really matter that i spelled his name wrong? you still knew who it was... thanks for the correction anyways. Pat has been on my mind since I read that he was joining the Army with his younger brother. Imagine the friendship those two had with eachother, I just pray that that the younger brother returns home safe. Pat has lit a new inspiration in my life, and it should not have taken his death to do that.
