A simmer's goldmine

I popped into the local Oxfam charity shop this morning to have a look round. This is the first time I've been in there. I was astounded to see 2 big piles of old FS addons. Must have been around 40 -50 all in their original boxes. These included FS95 itself + all sorts of goodies for FS95/98. I imagine these are all collectors items now. I can get a full listing if anyone is interested.

A few I can remember are 2 copies of the original BAO Flight Shop, FS Clouds, FS Navigator + various aircraft & scenery addons. Average price

Wish I was there. That probably was a really good buy. I reckon they would sell well on ebay.
My Mum loves these shops, I can hardly stand them. But once in a while they have some of the best buys money can provide.
They are frequently checked by all the antique dealers. The usually elderly ladies serving there don't understand the real value of an item sometimes.

My wife loves to go to the Salvation Army thrift shop on thier "half off" day. We get some pretty good stuff there. I bought a 5 band radio for $2 (air, FM, marine, AM, and beacon[ADF])
$.25 for an original 45 of "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis. Value is about $20 I think.

i think i might pop in and have a look,some of the old stuff is always the good stuff,i bet you got some right bobby dazzlers, and they were cheap as chips ?

I pop into the old charity shops regularly, being a tight old Fozzer... ...!
I get all my kitchen ware from there. Pots and pans, knives, (bone-handled!),  and forks, plates, cups, frocks, flower vases, pictures of Her Majesty the Queen, etc... ...!

They are just like Aladdin's Cave, (without Hagars Chest of Gold 'cos he doesn't pay his bills).... ...!

I can still buy CFS1 and FS98 here mint and still in the celophene here, its getting anything newer that proves a challenge

I didn't actually part with any money. Told you I'm the careful type. I have to look after my reputation. The original Ebenezer Scrooge - that's me.

Maybe I should have bought the lot while they were still there. Speculate to accumulate. It's no good, I'll never make a businessman.  ::)

I get all my books from Charity shops, I don't see the point of shelling out seven quid for a book when I can get it for 50P 6 months later.

 I go to these places all the time here in the states, (Goodwill, Salvation army) I have found some great deals on books, software, clothes, you name it, I am always looking to save a few bucks, and these stores are like 365-day a year rummage sales.
