Screensaver

Postby Saitek » Tue Mar 30, 2004 3:36 pm

Hi there. Is there a really good screensaver with aircraft on anywhere? I don't mean a slide show type. I mean a moving aircraft on a screen. I also wondered where there might be some really photographic pics of some aircraft, any type, that could be used as a background for my computer. I've got one, but it is not that wonderful.

Thanks, Regards,
     Ben :)

P.S I hope this is in the right forum

I don't know about a screen saver like that, I have a few hundered pics saved on my computer that cycle around through the slideshow.

Great picks come from the http://airliners.net/ photo archives. Thousands upon thousands of pics.

I have one that is a C47 that starts at the bottom of the screen and climbs to the top at which point it lets out paratroopers! What is cool is that you can set it so that some of the poor jumpers chutes won't open, lol!
I also have one that is a ATC radar screen (look like the ral thing!) It even has ATC audio!!
Let me look so I can tell you where to get them!
I think I got them at a desktop theme site ???

Then the question is Why do you have it?  ;D

I never leave the computer on long enough for a screensaver to run. I usally shut it off it I'm not currently using it.
One thing I found early on in my inital computing experiance is to have the damn thing disabled if your downloading!!
I don't have the screensavers here they are on my computer at work so I'll get the info on where to get them and post it tonight.

Hey I found a site with the C47 screensaver, this one is pretty cool!!

http://janim.net/freeware-screensavers/ ... hp?cat=110

Now looking for the ATC screensaver, that one is great!
Here it is:

http://www.8ung.at/aviation-savers/airport.htm

Down the page a little, it has a 3 aircraft rating, but I give it a 5!
I think it is made for Windows 95/NT but it works in XP this is the one I have on the computer at work at present time.
Because it has actual ATC/ pilot communication it does use some resources but if its running you probably aren't doing anything anyway ;)
