Thanks for understanding IcedFoxtrotter. I don't think anyone is singling you or anyone else out. I never saw the need for large sig images myself but my motto has always been "Live & let live". You can't please everybody but providing the images are within the forum limits nobody can possibly complain. ;)

But hagar that's just it they were OK and they were still pissed. Y'all are like girlfriends: one can never win.

Either way now all six are way under the limits (and  I might add are smaller than those belonging to those who are doing the bitching here), and if someone is still pissed you can just talk to the hand. :P

As I said, you can't please everybody. This is one of the most friendly forums you will find anywhere. We have very few arguments & they are soon sorted out. I might point out that your somewhat aggressive attitude doesn't help. ::)

So why fight? One of my weaknesses is being pedantic. I can argue the hind leg off the proverbial donkey if you wish & keep arguing endlessly until everyone is bored stupid. I'm aware of this weakness & do my best to keep it in check. I'm also well-known for saying what I think but I try to do this in a polite way.

Here's one tip I've found useful. Read things through carefully before replying in haste. This is an international forum & some remarks might not be what they seem. It's all too easy to take offence at an innocent remark that wasn't aimed at you anyway & retaliate with a few ill-chosen words. I've done the same in the past & immediately regretted it. Once your reply is posted it's too late to do anything about it. Even if you edit it later, someone is bound to have seen it. It's sometimes better to keep quiet & say nothing. I bite my tongue until it bleeds almost every time I visit this forum. ::) ;)

Yes, wise words Hagar.  There have been a number of times that I have posted something and than deleted it 3 seconds later with some more thought.

I bite my tongue until it bleeds almost every time I visit this forum.

Good, so it isn't just me that does that. ;D

Sometimes I just have to say something anyway. :-[

What I find confusing is that mine is slightly larger in dimension than Fox's for example, but in the "kb" it is smaller.
Must be due too awesome editing work ;) Thanks again to IcedFoxTrotter, whose signatures seem too load faster than most, why I don't know this bandwidth thing is beyond my knowledge.
But what is up with the "wallpaper sig" on page 1? ;D
It seems with all the problems men face, is it necessary to bring Signature Envy into the picture?  ;D

While the following is just my opinion, I've never cared for pictures in signatures, just banners or icons.  Like me! ;)

I'm still confused ??? "never cared for pictures in signatures"
Isn't that banner a "picture? What is the differance between pictures and banners?
If it comes to file size mine is still smaller.
I'm in need of knowedge ;D ;D

Hi Fret. Let me try to sort out the confusion here. I don't see any reason for people to get their bowels in an uproar over a simple thing like observing a few rules. LOL ;D

A banner is usually an image containing some sort of information or message in text form. It's usually possible to include a lot of information on a comparatively small image. This can be used to overcome the Yabb limit on text in the actual signature. An picture is just that, a photo, screenshot or other type of image without any text.

I think it is a matter of image composition.  When I changed my picture a little while ago, I had a shot of an OH-58D low level over new england in the fall that was dimentionaly way smaller than my current. Needless to say, it was complicated as hell with all the leaves and tree trunks. It what the picture is made of that matters.  Yours is full of simmilar blues and greys in large flat areas, easy to save and maximize size for the computer.  Mine on the otherhand takes a lot of thought and doesn't compress well so I needed to turn the quality down way farther for mine than I needed to for yours.
