I haven't been infected...What prompted this was an e-mail from a Hungry ISP fussing about me infecting one of their clients. A client that I've never heard of. The only person in Hungry I know is Ozzy (Mark). I advised him of this e-mail and to check his system. I then went to my ISP web site to check it for quarantined e-mails in my Spam filters (I wish they would just delete the damned things). The ISP also scans for viruses and flagged 10 e-mails as containing viruses. Two were from a Simviation Forum member I know and one was from webmaster@simviation. I e-mailed Pete about the one and advised the forum member. The remainder of the e-mails were from unknowns.

the problem is this virus steals the email addresses in the address book,, so it doesnt even need to infect a computer to get that persons address and use it, as long as one computer with the email and the virus has it. i have gotten various warnings that i am sending out viruses even though i dont have it on my computer and no one in my address book has recieved it from me.

me too, and i keep receiving emails infected with it. i wish other people would keep up to date with viruses. it'd save everyone else a lot of time if everyone ran a check once every so often. no harm done is there lol.

thanks for the links mate, im checking just in case :D

I use Norton Systems Work 2003, it scans my system every other day and is constantly updated via auto update and I can do a live update anytime to check for anything else that is available. It scans for viruses on the net as well as all incoming and outgoing e-mails on my Outlook Express. My ISP has a virus scan as well, so I get double layered protection. That and I get e-mails daily on my Yahoo account that have viruses. I delete them with out fail. I rarely use that account to e-mail anyone...so if anything goes out from it....more than likely it's yahoo (that doesn't have virus filters like my ISP) has let a virus into their system. Net based e-mail clients are the worst for spreading viruses. They need
to use virus scanning filters like my ISP...that would also solve allot of headaches.
