I didn't know Katana was banned. But i'm afraid to say that he was Russian in the same way Ivan is. They just like Russian planes.

I don't remember seeing anything of him since early summer at least.

If I recall correctly Katana was born in Russia & living in the US. According to his avatar Ivan is not Russian - he simply likes Russian aircraft. I have no idea if he speaks the language.

Ivan is Dutch, but knows a little Russian.
Russ however has proved himself worthy of the mighty task ahead of him, and will enter the realms of fame and super-stardom shortly!!! He has already done the first page of heavy physics for the Su-27 manual!!!
So All Hail Russ, who will shortly be a hero to all Simviators (once we've got the manuals done and released for downloading)!!!

Ozzy ;)

Didn't Katana's family even go to Russia occasionally to visit relatives?

What format are they in and how many pages?  I have a friend whose wife is a native Russian but I doubt she knows a lot about aircraft - if it's not too much and not too technical she might be willing to take a look.
