Yea, though our country transits through the international airspace of death, we shall fear no evil, for You are with us, Your fighter and your bomber, they comfort us.

You lucky son of a gun, I would have done anything to live and fly from MO when I was going into the AF.

It does have some of the best pilots in the AF but the bases location sucks.  Its in the middle of the desert down a road thats 12 miles long an only leads to the base.  Now its cool getting to work on aircraft that cost more money than I will ever make in my life.  The 1st time I was on the flight line at night an a F-15 come halling A$$ over my head about 100 feet off the ground with full afert burn I was very impressed an proud of what I do.  P.S. I miss seeing trees an grass... :'(

Mountain Home AFB is down in Southern Idaho, which is mostly desert. Northern Idaho, where I live, is full of mountains and huge forests.

CVRT, where in Montana are you from?

I am from Ronan (just past Polson going south past Flathead Lake.  Unfortunately, I only get to be there during Christmas, summer, and spring break as I spend the rest of the year up here in Anchorage at UAA for my ATC and flight training.

N505AF, ask for Elmendorf; you'll see more green and white than you have ever seen in your life:
