[quote] I've had about 10 hours in light aircraft and 11 parachute jumps. I plan on getting a Meng in Aero engineering and then entering the RAF, hopefully to fly the EFA or JSF.

It's safe enough... I believe that nobody has something to hide in this forum.

I've been working for Canadair  ... aargh! Bombardier Aerospace for the past 10 years, the last 5 as a technical engineer (I'm not a Bachelor) re-designing interior components for the CRJ-700 and 900.

I'm based in Mirabel for now, but briefs visits to Tucson and Wichita are coming up shortly (for the Challenger 300).

Went to school for 3 years at L'Ecole Nationale d'Aeronautique in Montreal, came out with a Aircraft Mechanical Engineer title... odd title, since this school is not an University of any kind.

Worked a year for a company named Air Inuit, was based in Kuujuak (way, way up North in the Province of Quebec). Did mainly maintenance work on the 737-200 fleet (4 aircraft back then!).

I'm not a pilot of any kind, though I enjoy handling the real stick any chance I get...

PS. Hagar, I read your Lair intro... Your background is as an aircraft engineer? Can I ask for which company you worked?

I've only ever been in an aircraft as a passenger :(.  I will get my PPL one day but I have no plans to go any further as I'm too old and have poor sight.

Trying to apply for the Lufthansa after having finished school. Otherwise, I'll do something else in the field of aviation (ground engineer, air traffic controller) or I'll get into the field of ship building.

I heard a new rumor today about Riddle's future aircraft, one of the check ride pilots (the real technical term for em flew from my head), supposively said we'd be getting Cirrus aircraft (SR22 I think is the model?), but again it wouldnt make sense for training people without any ratings in a high performance aircraft (you need a seperate rating from the PPL to fly these)
