Forget the repainting for now. FSD would not have posted a Repaint Kit if they objected to repaints.

The original will be in US markings which is what I thought you wanted. I'm downloading it now to find out exactly what it's all about. There are also plenty of existing repaints of this model in various markings, including the ones posted here at SimV.

Ok, you got me with the Herc  :-[
But the C-17s are on loan, we havn't had Phantoms since the early 90's and the AH-64s are in the Army. As to the Sea King, I mentiopned that one already  :)

Anyone know if theses a "Mig-28" repaint of the FSD T-38?
And sinse I ain't said it yet, welcome to SimV  8)

Yes pete, but they usualy aren't selling an aircraft that can come back and drop bombs on us one day; usualy just airliners.

I could have sworn I heard that you Britt's bought those Globemasters?

Right. Here's what I've found out on the FSD T-38 so far. If I remember correctly this was a free gift from FSD to the FS community & originally posted on the FSD site. It was for FS2002 & is no longer posted on their site. The files were uploaded to Flightsim.com with specific instructions that it should not be hosted elsewhere. This explains why it's not here at SimV. (It's possible the T-38 was also uploaded to Avsim but their file library seems to be down right now.) ::)

The original FS2002 T-38 is fsd_t382.zip. This is a Gmax model with 6 texture variations which are all US markings. It should work fine in FS9 but I don't think it was ever officially updated.

A service update was later posted as fsdt38sr.zip. This includes various improvements including updated flight dynamics

There is also a Repaint Kit (t38paint.zip) which I assume the numerous repaints of this model posted all over the Web are based on.

I hope this clears that up. ;)

It's not easy to figure out unless you know the full history behind it. This could be so different if people uploading repaints gave proper credits to the original authors & explained the situation. They could also state where to download the original.

YES, thank you!!! It is nearly impossible to tell where models came from. Thank you Microsoft (Oops, I said it.

Yes, they burn their tails off when shooting...
and most of the helicopter crews prefer a Mi-24 instead of their far-too-expensive toy, especially in afghanistan
