Is there any one out there who doesn't like communism??? I don't and I would like to hear teh opinions of others on why communism is either god of bad.
What is that smell??? Is that...........................BACON!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Politics, though not banned, is highly discouraged at Simviation, and even when discussing it, it should be treated like thin ice. I suggest rewriting your post more dedicately, if this post hasn't been locked by then.
It can be a very volatile subject, but first of all, one would have to DEFINE "communism" ... Are you talking Soviet Communism (Leninism, Trotskyism, Stalinism, etc.), Chinese/Maoist Communism?, or are you talking about "pure" Marxism?
For practical purposes, there are no "pure" "-isms". One can argue Chinese Communism, but that's developing into an interesting version with capitalistic tendencies. Even Castroism has an undercurrent of capitalism.
Are you talking of "communism" as an economic philosophy vs "capitalism" or the political "communism"?
Just trying to define what the topic should be is a mess in itself.

Yea, though our country transits through the international airspace of death, we shall fear no evil, for You are with us, Your fighter and your bomber, they comfort us.
Hmmm................I remember something, what was it.................Oh yes!: WWII!

This is just the sort of subject that encourages mature reasoned debate amongst the members here with such varied backgrounds, geo-political world views and experiences.
As far as pure communism-in my opinion it is the perfect and ideal system, in theory. Basically the idea (really simplified) is you use only what you need and the ret you share. At it's core, its a great idea. The problem is that people are greedy and therefore the systen doesn't work. So, in my opinion-communism the perfect system for a perfect society, unfortunately we don't have a perfect society.
Did that make sense? lol.
Did China turn communist before or after WW2 started?
After. Their change to communism happened in either 1948 or 49, I can't remember which one for sure.
Capatalism - minority of people control majority of money and politics
Communism - majority of people control everything
in my opinion - communism would NEVER work. Most people cannot manage their own finances and lives, let alone being allowed to run a country. Everything would soon be broke, and the country would be in a mess. I prefer to have rich peole control the money because they actually know what they are doing with it. And politicians although not always squeaky clean actually know what they are doing when they run a country state city etc.
in theory communism makes sense, but practically it'd never work. SOMEONE has to be in power, SOMEONE will always be richer or better off. And as someone stated already, Communist regimes nowadays have Capatilist tendencies which proves pure communism doesnt work.
I like to think that I don't hate anybody. I might dislike a few people but hate is too strong a word. Can't say I've met a "communist" & wouldn't recognise one if I saw him/her. I can't see how it's possible to hate someone you haven't met or know nothing about.
It seems that McCarthyism is still alive & well in some quarters.
Funny to think that 20 years ago I would have said that I didnt trust any body that was a communist. That is what was drilled into my young 20 year old brain by the military. Now my doctor is from Russia and we have had some good talks about this subjuct
Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) ,2.70 gigahertz AMD Phenom II X6 1045T(6-core), two HD (1TB and 500GB), 8gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5570,

Actually, "McCarthyism" is a term generated by the "left". Joe McCarthy initiated hearings (after an order to the effect from President Truman) to root out people that could be risks to national security that were employed in the government. His "targets" were legitimate national security risks, which were subsequently exposed as such. The "Red Scare" of a soviet communist behind every bush, was, in my opinion, overblown by a politicized media of the time.
From what I've read, McCarthy's hearings targeted Soviet/Russian agents in the government. You could be a "communist" - just not in the government.
