College testing

Postby Craig. » Wed Feb 11, 2004 5:46 pm

As some of you know i am hoping to head to college in the US this autumn. However one thing i am unsure about is testing. I know there are two test for college, the ACT and SAT. Firstly which is the better choice to go for. Secondly which is easier??? ;D
Most of the info i have found online is either unclear or of little help. I am kind of worried about this as it will be the first test i have taken since May of 2000 and i am worried that my once mighty brain has slowly gone to mush and it could cost me big time LOL.
Thanks for any advice

I don't really know if either is easier since they are both considered a "general knowledge" test.  I've heard they do differ in subject a little (for example if your better at language than math take one of them-but I don't know if thats true or which is which).  I'd try and find some work books about them (which have old tests in them) and do those-they sell them.  Then, you can decided which one you are better at and take that one.  Oh, and don't worry too much-if you do bad you can retake it and usually they take your best score (I took the SAT 3 times).

In the US if you can play football it doesn't matter how smart you are.  So testing isn't required.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Take both, I know "waste of time and money"

ACT and SAT are very different, tests are basically over the same material, but how the test is written and scored.

In my opinion the SAT was easier

thanks guys. The football route would be nice but i have no high school experiance with it so no go.
As for both, i might do that. May be a little more in the way of costs but probably worth it in the long run.
Cheers
