Scorp, a silly thought, but why not do a short TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course? You could then get a job almost anywhere in Europe, earn a few bob as you travel kind-of-thing. I've met a number of Americans doing just this, and they all said its great fun as you get to meet people and see places you otherwise wouldn't... Just a thought ;)

Good idea but then we'd have another lot of Europeans speaking American instead of proper English. :o :P ;D

Climate

Postby Scorpiоn » Thu Jan 29, 2004 7:22 pm

Tropical sceneries tend to really lift my spirit, but since I'm going to Europe...

What towns would you guys suggest for a years stay?  Preferably someplace a bit more cold than the usual.  I don't like hot weather. :P

Why not buy a round the world ticket that will give you the opportunity to stop in a few places as you travel.

You may get home a bit quicker but if you work it right,
you'll see a lot of the world for a lot less.

Prague. No ifs, no buts. Simply awesome! Great scenery, amazing beer, stunningly beautiful chicks! ;)
Croatia is also great, and most people speak English, the beer is good, and again amazing women :o
As for Hungary, well if you're in this neck of the woods I can guarantee amazing wines, fabulous foods, beautiful babes, and you're more than welcome to stay ;)

yes its me. i'm still alive  ;D

i'm hurting a bit but could let this post o without looking in.

part of oz is tropical - about 3 per cent - anotehr 10 per cent is temperate and the rest is desert. they call it the outback - remember!.................... ;D ;D ;)

the weather is good tho', 'cept melbourne, too much rain - about 25 per cent of the time it rains ther.

canberra is best. nice and cool and cold in winter.

don't know how you can get in without being a professional or badly needed tradesman or some such thing. [being a yank is minus 50 points apparently....lol ;D ;)j /k ]

our visitors visas are good for 6 months but don't know how difficult it is to get a work permit [ tax is 48 per cent for non residents, even if you do get one ]

;D :D ;)
