remember though the superbowl is not the olympics. Its sport in its most violent form:) blood sweat tears. usually aimed at young men and older men. thus they try to cater to the main audience. Maybe this was too far, but too late to do anything about it, let the FCC decide about this and then just move on people.
As for kid rock carrying a flag isnt really an option when your doing his sort of onstage performance:)

LOL . But then we go back to the whole younger audiences area, they have to be kept happy aswell. Lets face, they cant win anymore. There is always going to be someone who is gonna be pissed off with whatever they do. Personally i just watch it for the game itself. I was glad they put Kid Rock on, he is my fav artist. However what that has to do with with football is debatable, but the whole point is entertainment at half time i suppose. The aerosmith part was less than good, it came off on tv as a poor performance and alot worse than they are capable of.. But like i said in the music forum, this is mainly because they had to patch the audio direct to the TV audience, instead of just hearing what the fans in the stadium heard, this is because of the type of stadium it is, if you didnt notice, but all the singers sounded clearer than usual, and the fans sounded alot quieter.

What happened, weather it was wrong or now, was against the law

 How do you come to this conclusion? It was planned out, Janet Jackson even said that part of the act was added after final rehersals, no one did anything illegal, Janet knew Justin was going to rip away that part of the costume, and EVERYONE seems to have missed the fact that she was wearing a pastie over the center of her boob, therefore actually exposing nothing indecent.
 
 Maybe the superbowl was not the right place for them to perform this stunt, if it would have happened at the MTV music awards, no one would even have cared, personally, I don't think it was a big deal, but there are so many people who have to bitch about every little thing they don't agree with that if they didn't have celebrity antics to keep them busy they would have nothing to say, then what would they do? These are the same people who think they need to tell everyone what they can watch, listen to, read, and how they should be living their lives based on their beliefs. Who cares? Screw 'em.

Actually that was my first thought and then I saw the picture "blowen up" Nope! not a pastie!! Everything is there!! It was a "nipple inhancement" .
That is what I hate about these people who complain about this, yesterday on the radio the same callers that were complaining about how wrong it was even though she was wearing a pastie suddenly changed their argument that it was more than wrong. When they were pointed out the fact that it wasn't a pastie after all.
with quotes like "If she was wearing the pastie, there wouldn't be anything wrong with it, but she didn't have one on, and that makes it wrong!" that quote came from the same lady that called the day before also bashing Kid Rock being patriotic!!!
So once again the news programs were showing this same photo over and over before they finally saw the photo "enlarged" proving that no pastie was present and then started to "blur" the part in question.
So you see something that lasted a second live was showen by the media over and over again as a still image which was on screen for a longer period of time than what was seen during the performance!!
So if any kids noticed it they saw it on the news or other type program not the SuperBowl.
I think the media/news stations that repeatedly showed this photo without it first being censored should be the ones facing fines, not CBS,Janet,Justin etc. Because if it wasn't for them this incedent wouldn't have been "exposed" more.

And as for the second quote from Paz:

First off to a comment made on page 4. It seems the only reason you think Kid Rock was wrong for wearing "the colors" Is because you don't like him! But that doesn't matter he is a American with the same rights and privlages we all have. And something that needs to be remembered not everyone in the world has! And there are already enough people (Americans) trying to take that away from us!!

And now for your quote above:

Because if it is the same in years past, you'll see hundreds of people from countries all over the world wearing their countries colors! And for some reason I feel KNOW that the ones who think it is "disrespectful" now, will have a different view and opinion of it then!!

 No matter what your personal opinion on the matter, the whole thing boils down to the manner of thinking that has been mentioned here several times, if the media would have left it alone, no one would have even noticed exactly how much of Janets breast was actually visible, the cameras cut away so fast that you really couldn't tell, so this whole thing is the medias fault for showing the world the clip over and over and over again, not to mention the blown-up still shots that are all over the web at this time.
