Scary!

Postby Jaffa » Fri Feb 06, 2004 9:50 pm

Very scary event occured just down the street last night...we know almost every neighbor(including the threatened family).  This is a neighborhood where you can confidently let little kids walk themselves down the street to a friend's house.  Like said in the clip...(I know both people in the clip)...this will get peoples attention!

Scary indeed. All credit to those responsible for preventing a tragedy. Sadly this could happen anywhere & now it has things will never be quite the same in the community affected. The fact is that there seem to be more of these nutters around these days. I don't know why or what the answer is.

What would the likely sentence be for attempted murder in the second degree and attempted burglary in the first degree? I assume it would be harsher in the US than here in the UK. If it happened here he would most likely be out again in less than 10 years time & what happens then? If he pleaded temporary insanity this would most likely be even less. Maybe I answered my own question. ::)

I read the reason he stated was that the family, or member of the family, had destroyed his life....
(Wether he was a "nutter" or not I don't know....)...
No excuse, but it just goes to show, what can happen if you annoy your neighbours.... ;)...!
Keep your trees, hedge, barking dogs, little children, getto-blaster, car, drains, etc, under control... ;)...!
We all get angry feelings when someone annoys us, the trouble is, some people cant keep it under control, and having a gun or knife in their posession makes it even worse... :o...!
Mind you, there are some really scary people/fruit cases out there after reading the San Francisco/Los Angeles/ New York Times today... :'(...!

Cheers all...!

Paul.

...I'm just off to thump the bloke next door who insists on mowing his bleedin' lawn at 2 o'clock in the morning... >:(...!
LOL... ;D...!

Yeap. Not realy impressed with it because it seems to focus on the areas that bring in the biggest bucks. Time Warner is so cheap that they will give use 2 WB station (one is blocked out most of the time), two ABC and two CBS and not ONE UPN. They claim they are working on it...for the past two years

Well, just goes to show doesn't it. Even the nicest of places have their bad moments. In Cornwall we don't have too many murders. But when they happen they generally happen in style and almost always make national news. The last one we had was a double murder where a husband and wife were both shot in their home. The other big one before that was when a man murdered his entire family (wife and four kids) and hid them under the woodpile. He was then taking them out two at a time and burying them in fields in the area.
