Due to service related disabilities....it's all I can do to walk 100 yards. Severe back, hip, knee and ankle (both legs) disabilities. That's what happens when you jump out of a perfectly good aircraft and hit the ground a bit to hard on several occasions. I must admit though, while in Vietnam, people shooting at me, mortar fire as well as artillery fire tended to increase my ability to run to almost the super human level.

the faster ,the more wind. it has something to do with the velocity of you and your bike and the pressure of the air.
but i let that explain to you by someone else...

No, that's not what I meant. I'm talking about the wind direction itself. I used to cycle to work. In the morning the wind would be against me. In the evening when I went home it had miraculously changed round & was still against me. :o
This happened regularly. It even happened when I changed jobs & travelled in the opposite direction. ::)

I came to that conclusion myself. :o This is the reason I bought my first motorbike as soon as possible. I haven't ridden a push-bike since. 8)

Although I quite like the idea of cycling now I'm retired & have plenty of time it's far too dangerous to contemplate these days. I would end up either in hospital or the morgue in no time. :o ::)

PS. That's providing someone didn't steal the bike first. Stop the world......! I wanna get off.  ::)

Ooops sorry Fret, I forgot you use fag for something else in the US. Do you know the funny story about the faggots?
Apparently this is a true story, but an American serviceman had been posted to the UK back in the 80's, and been told how soft and pinko Britain was (whoever told him hadn't known of Margret Thatcher!).
So he went to this cafe one day for a bite to eat, and asked what was available. The waitress listed a number of things including faggots & chips. Horrified he asked what they did with the faggot and she replied "Cook them"

"Right on!!!" came the reply. Seems no-one had told him in Britain that a faggot is a kind of meatball ;D
I wish I could have been a fly-on-the-wall when he got home and started telling people the British cooked their faggots ;D ;D ;D

Ozzy

;D ;D
I never heard meatballs called that !!!! I'm going to try and order that for lunch tommorow!  ;D
Does that mean" meatballs"has a different meaning in Britain?
Now this gets me wondering how these words arrived to the point of being used as offensive terms to describe people!  ???

And Hagar I never thought of it until you mentioned it!
But it is true, you are always riding into the wind!! I have a set course for my usual ride that takes me five miles and  I turn around and the wind is always coming at me!!! Maybe i should try riding backwards to see what happens? :)
