AmeriCorps Members?

I have recently joined the AmeriCorps program in Austin, TX and am enjoying it immensely.

For those of you who aren't from the US or don't know, AmeriCorps provides civil services for many different types of educational and underpriveleged people.  It is a program that has basically "grown up" under a framework of similar programs (like the Peace Corps)and is a work program funded by the US government.

I was just wondering if there are any of you out there who have either heard of this program or been a part of it.
