is there anything good

About Birmingham??
I ask this because as of sometime middle of February early March, To sometime mid august, that is looking to be my new home. However due to various medical problems i will be unable to work during the time i am there. And incase anyone cares, no i dont want to go LOL. If there is anywhere on this place more dreary and depressing than Bristol its gotta be there, at least i know bristol and Bath and have a few friends here.
I was planning to goto the airport on a regular basis as its bigger than bristol, but it turns out its got exactly the same as bristol airport minus the Easyjet company.
So please anyone if ya know of good things about the place please tell me, i am desperate, i am gonna be going to college in the US hopefully this september, but thats still 9 months away.

May one enquire why you chose Birmingham? If you don't like Bristol I suspect it will be much the same without the harbour. I've only visited the city once but some parts don't have a good reputation at all. Of course, this all depends on which part you live in. Some places on the outskirts are very nice indeed.

One thing might be handy. They have lots of shows, exhibitions & concerts at the NEC.

I didnt choose. The original plan was for a family move to somewhere nice, Florida, maybe pacific northwest, but of course my family being as it is, well i wont go there waaaaaay to screwed up:)
thats why i am out of there ASAP, however my uncle is dealing with the house side of things and he is very picky about where he lives and now apparently where we will live so its very unlikely to be a rough area.

Hehehe. Birmingham.

Intill this month Birmingham borrowed a big ferris wheel from paris. The idea was that you would go in this thing and it would tell you what you were looking at. However, no one knew how to change the tape. So all these brummies went on this thing and were showen the sites of Paris. ;D

However, they have just finished rebuilding the centre of Birmingham now so I think its quite nice. They've rebuild the bull ring and everything so its now a nice shopping center. Oh, and they have a building that looks like a bloody great liqurish allsort.

But there are some good gigs and the NEC and NIA. I saw Eddie Izzard there last month. ;D

I suppose this is a matter of opinion like everything else. Personally, I find an authentic Brummie accent fascinating & attractive to listen to. It's not difficult for an outsider to understand - like pure Geordie for example. I might be in a minority but I'm all for preserving local dialects wherever possible. Makes life interesting. Just because you live there doesn't mean you have to try to speak it yourself. ;)

i just dislike greatly the hustle and bustle of big citys, i feel very uncomfortable about being round to many people

Thank goodness for that. The way you carry on sometimes makes me wonder. :o For the first time in my life I understand what Brensec & his chums mean about whingeing Poms. LOL ::)

I also dislike cities & would never choose to live in that environment myself. Maybe I'm fortunate but I like it right where I am. Make the best of it for now & have a positive attitude. It's quite likely you might be able to choose where you live one day. I hope so anyway. ;)

Birmingham. Say it slowly. Birmingham.

Personally, in the short amount of time I have been in cities I have quite liked it. I have lately been staying with a friend of mine in London a bit and I do like the way everything is so accessable. I mean, for
