Visit the World for the price of FS 2004..!

Hi Simmers... ...!
Do you know what...?
One of my greatest joys is to get out my 1:700 000 map of California, decide where I want to go today, (as Uncle Bill says), log-on to a site of the local area to get all the maps and details of the area, fire up FS 2004 and fly around to view the area!
Today I have dropped off at Santa Barbara, (KSBA), logged onto their Web site, got some details of the local vinyards, looked at the local map, flown over to the vinyards and picked up a few? bottles of California's finest...
...then on to Santa Monica, (KSMO), just up the coast, done the same thing again, and picked up a few pummets of their very best mushrooms...!
Up to Watsonville, (KWVI),  to visit the locals, contacted them on their Web site with some of my details, then off to Half Moon Bay, (KHAF), for a re-fuel and a cup of tea and some bacon sandwiches.
Finally, over the hill to San Francisco International, (KSFO), parked in the hangar, checked and cleaned my plane ready for another exciting flight tomorrow around the Bay area, (Silicon Valley), to visit the inhabitants and get all their news via their Web sites...!
I never cease to be amazed at the detail included in the Pacific coast of Mid/Southern California in FS 2004 in relation to my maps of the same area.
I look at photo's of the area and I reckon Uncle Bill and his programmers have got it just about right...!
I will never be able to visit California, but I am probably more familiar with it now than the locals who actually live there...LOL...!
I can visit the world and get all the information I want for the price of Flight Simulator 2004...!
It's much more than just a flight simulator, it's an education...!
How's that for a bargain..?

I'm thinking about spending some time doing Africa soon, visiting a few places on my wish list that are currently not possible for me (due to certain restrictions in those countries).

I was never quite sure what burritos are anyway. I've heard of the Flying Burrito Brothers. Are they any relation to Foz or would that be the Flying Fozzer Brothers?

People in the U.K never heard of burritos? Unless there is an English, English term for it.

Its a bunch of food and condiments rolled up in pita bread and folded inwards on one side (sometimes both).

I sometimes eat cheese-beef burritos. Its grounded beef mixed with melted cheese.

Yes, and the hat is made out of grinded wheat. They sure do attract the birds.

Hi Ranger. Fozzer & I never heard of this stuff but we're hardly everyone in the UK.
Mex food is popular here now so I daresay they are a familiar delicacy. From the look of your photo I think I'll give them a miss if it's all the same to you. I never went much on all this spicy stuff myself. Too late to change my diet now. I prefer my steak & kidney pud.

Can he be arrested for smuggling Burritos?

Reminds me of the "Smuggling" joke.

Juan comes up to the Mexican border on his bicycle. He's got two large bags over his shoulders. The guard stops him and says, "What's in the bags?" "Sand," answered Juan. The guard says, "We'll just see about that get off the bike." The guard takes the bags and rips them apart; he empties them out and finds nothing in them but sand. He detains Juan overnight and has the sand analyzed, only to discover that there is nothing but pure sand in the bags. The guard releases Juan, puts the sand into new bags, hefts them onto the man's shoulders, and lets him cross the border.  

A week later, the same thing happens. The guard asks, "What have you got?"  

"Sand," says Juan.  

The guard does his thorough examination and discovers that the bags contain nothing but sand. He gives the sand back to Juan, and Juan crosses the border on his bicycle.  

This sequence of events if repeated every day for three years. Finally, Juan doesn't show up one day and the guard meets him in a Cantina in Mexico.  

"Hey, Buddy," says the guard, "I know you are smuggling something. It's driving me crazy! It's all I think about..... I can't even sleep. Just between you and me, what are you smuggling?"  

Juan sips his beer and says, "Bicycles."
