Transperency

Postby Tchkinjiu » Wed Dec 31, 2003 2:40 am

I have tried this over and over, so maybe someone here can help.
See the MOH (Medal of Honor) to the left? And the giant white square around it? Is there a way to make it so that only the cross shows, it is transperent in PSP. So I don't know...  :-[

Hi Jesster. You would have to save it in GIF format. There are different options for doing the transparency. I have done it PSP7 but forget how. I'll have a play later.

From what I can recall of PSP, in the *.psp format, the background can be transparent, but when it is converted to a *.jpg image the background goes white.

Try this. It needs a little tidying up.

Right-click on my image & select the Save Picture As option. Save it to your HD. It should be in GIF format. Open it in PSP. To save it after editing use the File/Save As option - select the GIF format. Click the Options button & use the Wizard. That's how I did it.

There is a way to do it in Photoshop also, but you need some initial res to get acceptable results......
