Fozzer. I don't see what difference this would make to you or any other private user.
My local Inland Revenue office is still on Win95. It works fine for what they use it for. I suppose they will now automatically update all their offices at vast expense & you & I will have to pay for it, as usual. LOL ::)

My worry is that Microsoft will no longer offer any more help or support for Win '98 in the way of up-dated service pack downloads.
Many of my Win '98 files are now no longer WQL, (Windows Quality Labs), certified....(dxdiag.exe).
Th BIG problem will occur when we have a major crash. We can re-install our Win '98 files again from our disk, but the necessary up-dates will no longer be available from MS...

A close look at the small print seems to indicate that Windows '98 SE (second edition) is not affected at present, but I bet that wont last for long....
