.....Fozzer. Before you or anyone else gets on their moral high horse about what a bloodthirsty lot the CFS community is, please remember that it was suggested, not without good reason, that FS was used for a very unpeaceful purpose not so long ago. ::)

Hi Doug...!
You are miss-understanding my reason for posting this particular thread... :'(...!

My note was not in regard to the actual "game" of Combat Flight Simulator itself, but more to do with the attitude of some of the members to each other, who play this particular type of game...!
They seem to have an aggression which "generally?" does not appear in the General Aviation forums...!
I really love posting in the Flight Sim Forums in the vain attempt to generate a bit of humour, fun, and light-heartedness, as well as helpfulness to other members... ;D...!
...you know me... ;)...!
It seems as though I am fighting a loosing battle tho'... :'(...!

Cheers all... ;D...!
Paul....(off to the "Train Simulator" Forum for some stress-free, choo-choo chat...)... ;)....LOL...!
...all in good, clean fun... ;D...!

P.S. ...(I do have Combat Flight Simulator 2, Pacific Theater installed on my hard drive..)... ;)...!

Foz. I don't frequent the CFS3 forum myself as I don't use the sim. I suggest that you happened to pick on a topic with a few apparently hostile & violent remarks. As I mentioned before, I've seen far worse in the FS forums as I'm sure you have if you think about it.
Over the last 4 1/2 years I've found the CFS guys as pleasant & helpful a bunch as you could possibly wish for. A lot of them also enjoy FS. I think the impression you're giving here is completely wrong & I won't hear a word said against them. ;)

PS. I've just carefully read through the topic you gave as an example. There might be a few heated comments but apologies were soon made & accepted. No different to what I've seen 100s of times in the general & FS forums. This is what makes the SimV forums stand out from the others. I really think you're making a big fuss over nothing.

I think the heated comments were aimed at a particular couple of posters who have nothing better to do then make unhelpful remarks about the game etc.

I can imagine that if I was using CFS and came to the forum to get some advice or have a laugh - having lots of these posts about things which help no-one could get up my nerves pretty quickly. I can however see some remarks which are unfortunate and probably could do with removing in this instance....

I don't think that CFS has an affect on people unless they've got no brain :o or are too young :-/..... On the whole most comments Ive seen in the forum are more light hearted and friendly then in of the FS forums.

For some strange reason, which I never figured out, certain people seem to get heated & take it as a personal insult if anyone dares criticise a particular sim, even if they have perfectly good reasons for doing so. I've seen examples of this phenomenon many times in the FS2002 & FS2004 forums as well as CFS2 & CFS3 (not to mention FS2000) when they were first released. Some threads have turned so
