Hi there, welcome to SimV. Greg Boyington is one of those characters that has always been of interest to me. I recently read the book "Black Sheep One" and found it to be an interesting read.
I'm sure there is a CFS2 repaint of the stock Corsair in the colours of No86 "Lucybell", even though Boyington never flew this plane it will forever be associated with him thanks to those publicity photos!
Just for the record, my WW2 "heroes" include such men as "Johnnie" Johnson, "Bud" Anderson and Gunther Rall, all of whom I've had the great honour to meet at one time or another.

Hi ya Pappy, and welcome also. :)
Yeah, ol Greg has always been one of my favorites too, and I thank you for the bio on him, very interesting stuff about "Pappy".
I enjoyed the weekly series "Black Sheep Squadron"
even if it wasnt all that accurate.
Yep he was known for drinkin a bit, and heh, he'd as likely want to fight ya as talk to ya! ::) One of his fellow pilots had said that he was the type that would just look at you and say; Gimmie one good reason why I shouldn't just bust ya in the mouth! ;D

And Hawker, speakin of Bud Anderson, here's a pic of him along with his comrades of the 357th FG:
From L-R,
Richard Peterson, Kit Carson, John England, Bud Anderson.

Hmmm, ya got any pics of ol Greg?
