What is to come?

I think it was the 1979 season that the cheifs last won a super bowl.  that year also has the excact same calender dates as this year.  that year, the cheifs lost to the bengals by the excact same score.  and in the 11th week, they lost to the Raiders.

is this forshadowing what is to come?  it will be interesting to see what happens.  sunday rain and possibly snow is expected, so that will make it an interesting game(and fun for me while i try to drive in it!)

the cheifs will not win the superbowl.That i gaurentee. as to who will, no idea yet. KC have had a pretty easy season so far, and to go down to the bungholes, will kill the confidence they had going into what will be a pretty difficult second half of the season. they have been so focused on their winning streak that they never prepared for the what if we loose. The media the team and ther fans all got caught up in the hype that they would go a clean sweep.

I think it is the year for the Chiefs (but this is not the first time I have said this).  I remember back in 1993 that everyone thought they were going to go to the Super Bowl and that all changed when their Hall of Fame quarterback (Joe Montana) went down in the AFC Championship-they lost the Bills.  But, I really think the Cheifs are the best team and they should win.

The current popular belief for the Super Bowl is Rams vs. Chiefs (and the Rams to win), but I think everyone is giving the Rams a little too much credit.  I would like to see Carolina play the in the Super Bowl-but this is an example of me thinking with my heart and not with my head.  In the end, I think the Rams and the Chiefs will play in the Super Bowl-but Kansas City will win.

hoowdy richie, I think carolina stand a much better chance of making it to the superbowl than the rams, they have a better league standing and an easier season end in my opinion than St. Louis. it actually looks like seattle could go through from their division with st louis only getting a wildcard spot.
As for KC they really have been handed a bad end to the season, they have three divisonal games in a row, Oakland this weekend san diego the next and Denver the next, they will have a tough enough time against Oakland who i think are due for a win(although officially i still dont like them:)) and Denver will be back to almost full strength baring any unfortunate injurys this week, and this time they wont loose. that would then put them at 9-4 and Denver 9-4, with denver leading the standings(assuming SD can win aswell) its gonna be a close finish in the AFC this year New England Indianapolis Kansas city and Denver all have a shot of going to the superbowl.

i see either a Seattle-Denver, or seattle New England superbowl.
If its seattle-Denver i see Denver winning
if its NE then new England will prob win

What surprises me about KC is they have only had success in the past when they had a very talented QB.  I personally don't feel that Trent Green is that great-he's good but nothing too special.  Anyway, when they were always successiful in the past they were either quarterbacked by Len Dawson (Super Bowl I, & IV) and then the only time they got close to the title again was when they had aging QB Joe Montana under center.  I just find it suprising since they used to have a system where they needed a franchise QB but now they are having great success without one.  I wonder if it's just because they have a great running back ot just a new system that Vermeal has brought.  Thats just something that I noticed.  

Also, I think that people are reading too much into the Bengals win.  These are not the Bengals of last year or the 1990s.  These Bengals are good and having success.  They are 5-5 and on top of their divison and gaining momentium.  The way they are playing, they are acting like the Bengals who played in the 1980's-the team that went to 2 Super Bowl's in that decade.  This year is not their year, but don't count them out in the future.  The Bengals may be very good a few years down the road.
