Casablanca on DVD

Postby Wing Nut » Mon Nov 10, 2003 12:09 am

Is there anyone here who REALLY knows this movie well?  It is one of my all time favorites and despite seeing it literally dozens (if not hundreds) of times, I still notice something new everytime I watch it.  My wife and I have discussed the scenes over and over, we pinpoint where certain changes begin, like Rick's 'icy' verneer begins to crack, and have almost every line from the film memorized.  It sure would be nice to find another film buff who knows the film inside out... :)

Probably my favourite B&W movie of all time! I've got it on video and watched it countless times. A truely great movie, they don't make 'em like that anymore sweetheart ;)

Did you know that Ingrid Bergman would never let herself be photographed from her right side?  During the whole movie, you rarely see her from anything but the left and ALWAYS when she is speaking.  She said it was her best side... ::)

I almost rented it because it looks like one of those classic films. Instead, I rented Forest Gump, they always air it in the Christmas season and thought I'll see it then.
