In all the places I've been on our little planet, I came across a LOT of people, every different background you can imagine. NOWHERE, I say again, NOWHERE did I find people who didn't want me to take their picture because of stealing their soul. They wanted to get paid. Simple as that. "Dollahs! No dollahs, no peekture."
And I don't blame them, get me right, but it bugs me that there will always be these MORONS hiding behind some silly excuse for not conforming to law.

Again, don't impose your rules, just because they impose theirs onto you... even though you are right saying that law should in certain cases go above personal believes. (Can't use the word r3l1g10n) The line is just much thinner than that, which doesn't make it easier. Don't go for 'easy' on these matters.

He is possible to poor to hire outside people to do his work.  And why would he?  They would have a photo of themself on their licence, and would therefore have sold their soul to Satan.  But, if he wins this case, and gets a crap load of money, he could hire the "damned of all the world" to work for him and drive him to chruch.

I don't think this guy will win. Especially with all the pressure on us by the US and several political groups to improve homeland security. However Clayton Ruby is a very slick lawyer and ofter works pro bonno for cases like this. He's basically the Canadian equivilant the guy who defended OJ Simpson, I forget his name.

The constitution does say that we have freendom to express religion, but that does not give the right to brake the law. Rastas would argure that smokeing pot is part of their religion but it is still illegal for them to do it. Why should this case be any different?

I guess according to this guy, we're all evil. I guess he'd better start building an ark for his manure and organic vegatables before the rain comes and drowns us all.

I just realised that this guy probably isn't a christian fanatic but just crazy. I've seen the Mennonites driving cars believe it or not. I think it's only the younger ones that do however but I'm sure you see my point.

I think you mean the Ultra conservative Amish.

There's a large Mennonite community where I live and they all drive nice cars. There's even a small Amish group here, but they drive around in old cars

Here's the way I see it. If you make just one exception, others will find their own excuses. Before you know where you are all sorts of people from weirdos to criminals are running around flouting the law, quite legally. This naturally causes discontent among the silent majority who follow the rules. Positive discrimination in favour of a minority causes the very thing it was intended to prevent - discrimination. In the end you might as well not bother making the rules in the first place.
