Well, how about a scientific logical approach to a simple problem ?.....here is what I was told, although I don't remember the exact words, it goes like this........
The actual situation which is happening is a stutter in the synchonization of the semi-involuntary rib cage expansion and the inflation of the lungs.......basically they are out of synch.......its a simple matter to put them back on their timing by this method......
Most people, when they fill their lungs, suck in their stomach muscles but the reality is, is that this is backwards......what you need to do it push out your stomach as you breathe in deeply........slowly........then as you exhale, you need to pull in your stomach ......slowly.....
What this does is to re-align the involuntary timing of the entire process, by getting the diaphram ( lower rib cage cover ) to pull down when you breathe in and to rise when you breathe out........its these things (suck in/stomach out...slowly -- blow out/stomach in...slowly)which will, after two to three breaths, begin to go into their own involuntary sync .......
I very rarely hiccup 3 times and never 4 times unless I want to piss off Wendy with the noise. First thing out of her mouth is " Breathe
