Whew, lemme think. I live on the approach to Newark, Teterboro, Atlantic City, and the Hunterdon Medical Center. Also, 2 small airports, a baloonport, and many other airports in Jersey. Okay. Let me go out today, and tonight I'll com back with each and every one I see. Lets see. It's 10:51 AM EST here, so, @ 8:00, I'll report my findings.  8)

Don't Forget Your Gasmask! =D!

I live about midway between two airbases, whose names I have forgotten, in Georgia. One of the bases might be Dobins AFB, but I'm not too sure.

I see anything from the occasional AH-64 Apaches, Ah-1 Cobras, UH-1 Hueys, and UH-60 Blackhawks. Also, F/A-18s, F-16s, F-15s, and C-130s. Thats just the military bunch. And those Hueys and Blackhawks are sometimes solid-white, solid-green, green with white patch and red cross, white with white patch and red cross, and are sometimes seen with the extended-range fuel tanks, too.

Also, there have been many civil aviators, in anything from Bell 206B helicopters, small single-engine and medium twin-engine airrcraft, plus airliners of types 747, 707, and others.

Also, LifeFlight airlift helicopters fly about, from time to time...

Aside from all of that, theres an occasional aerobatic pilot in some sort of old biplane... He gets low over the street, does loops, barrel rolls, and assorted other manuevers... Even buzzes the busses when they come down the street, and 'waves' the wings, when someone is out mowing the lawn or something...

I live/work near an AFB that was closed(Pease NH) in the first base closings back in 96 I believe  :-[

We still have the ANG KC-135R's with the 157th ARW. Pan Am but we get planes from local bases doing pattern work all the time. P-3's from Brunswick NAS, KC-135E's from Bangor Me, A-10's from Barnes and Bradley. C-5's from Westover, KC-10's from McGuire, F-16's from Burlington VT.

Even seen a F/A-18F, T-6 and a F-18A, plus the ocasional T-38's from Moody or Randolph.

Here are some of the visitors I have captured on camera
http://community.webshots.com/album/13101478YqZYGjiCGt

Last summer from while at lunch I saw 2 F-117's come in with a KC-10 from Travis. Also got to see them take off the next day  8)

Also seen Air Force once come in here twice before he started hitting Sanford airport in Me.

Not bad for only a ANG base changed over to civilian ;)

Seeing my house in the flight path of RW 16 we see the straight in approaches and when they come and do the wide ILS aproaches.
If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there

I live off the south end of the runway of KGVT, I always see P-3's, EC-135's, E-4's.

A guy who lives a few miles away keeps his J-3 in a barn on his land and flies it around here once or twice a month. Whenever he lands it looks like he is crashing behind the trees.

And the space shuttle whenever it reenters the atmosphere.

I live near Dallas, Texas, and there are over 10 departure and arrival procedures that pass over my house!!! There is also a military installation (Not an airfeild, but lots of helis) near my house, within one mile. I have seen everything from Cessna 150s, which this is a practice area for, to Boeing 747s and 777s (you dont realize how big a triple-7 is till you see one climbing out and still can see details). I have seen military airplanes, and I have seen one F-16 kick it into high gear and climb out and I am assuming intercepting a plane, since the plane seemed to be a little off the normal procedure and he was headed for it. What appears to be the norm for SWA (Southwest Airlines) 737s goes right over me, and I mean RIGHT over me, at low altitude, the NDB near me is the signal for landing gear extension I guess lol. ;)
